Instructor Agreement
The terms for teaching on Dev Skill: publishing, your revenue share, earnings and the refund window, withdrawals, and the rights in your content.
1. Who this agreement covers
This Instructor Agreement governs publishing and selling courses on Dev Skill (the “Platform”). It applies to you when your instructor application is approved, alongside the Terms & Conditions and the Privacy Policy. If you only buy and study courses, this agreement does not apply to you.
2. Applying and approval
You apply through the Platform. Your application must be accurate and complete. The Platform decides whether to approve an application at its discretion, and approval creates your instructor status. Existing instructors may be suspended or revoked as described in section 10.
3. Publishing courses
You author courses through the Platform's studio: structure, lessons, video, quizzes, assignments, pricing, and descriptions. Every new course and every substantive revision goes through Platform review before it is published. You are responsible for the quality, accuracy, and legality of your content; the Platform is responsible for hosting, delivery, payment, and discovery.
Course pages must describe the course honestly — what is taught, the level, and what students get. The Platform may ask for changes, decline to publish, or remove material that violates this agreement or the law, and you may unpublish your own courses at any time.
4. Your revenue share
When one of your courses sells, you earn a share of what the student actually paid. Your percentage is shown to you when you are approved — the standard starting share is 70% — and is recorded with its effective history. The share applies to the net amount: the price paid after coupon discounts and Credit Wallet credit. Applicable Value Added Tax is not part of your share.
Your share for an order is fixed at the moment of purchase: if your percentage is changed later, orders already placed keep the percentage that applied when they were placed. Affiliate commissions, where an order is referral-attributed, are paid out of the Platform's share and never reduce your share.
5. Coupons
You can create coupons for your own courses within limits the Platform sets. An instructor coupon reduces only your share of the affected order — the Platform's share is unchanged. Platform-issued coupons act on the whole price and affect both shares as the platform coupon rules provide.
6. Earnings and the refund window
Earnings from each paid order are recorded immediately but start locked. While locked, they cannot be withdrawn; the lock exists because purchases can be refunded. After the refund window for the order expires — 72 hours after payment — locked earnings automatically become withdrawable.
If an order is refunded, the corresponding earnings are reversed. Where earnings were still locked, the lock absorbs it; where a refund happens after unlocking, the reversal is recovered under the Platform's refund rules. You can always see gross sales, discounts, your share, locked amounts, and withdrawable amounts in your earnings statement.
7. Withdrawals
You request withdrawals from your earnings page. The minimum withdrawal is ৳5,000. Withdrawals are reviewed by the Platform and paid by bank transfer to the payout method registered on your profile. Your payout details are encrypted at rest and shown only masked once saved.
You are responsible for the accuracy of your payout details, and for the taxes due on your earnings. The Platform reports and remits only its own tax obligations.
8. Your content and the license you grant
You keep ownership of the courses and materials you create. To sell your courses on the Platform, you grant Dev Skill a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, stream (including with digital rights management), market, and sell those courses while this agreement is in effect. Nothing here stops you from selling the same courses elsewhere.
You confirm you hold all rights needed for everything in your courses — including music, images, fonts, and third-party code — and that your content does not infringe anyone's rights or break any law.
9. Your obligations
When teaching on the Platform you will:
- keep course descriptions and levels honest, and deliver what the course page promises
- not publish plagiarized, infringing, unlawful, harmful, or misleading content
- respond to Platform review requests and keep your published courses working
- not contact students to move purchases off the Platform or process payments yourself
- respect the Refund Policy — refunds are part of selling here and reversals follow section 6
10. Suspension and revocation
The Platform may suspend or revoke instructor status for violations of this agreement, quality failures, or unlawful content. Revocation stops new sales of your courses; students who already paid keep their access. Amounts you have already earned remain payable under section 7 unless forfeited for fraud.
11. Changes to this agreement
We may revise this agreement. Revisions are published as new numbered versions with their effective dates, listed on its page. The version in force when an order is placed governs that order's share and its reversals.
